Fall engagement session at Rawlings Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland

I truly believe that Rawlings Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland, is one of the most unique locations for an engagement session - especially in the fall! I have photographed at this Druid Hill gem in every session, but I think fall is my favorite by far. Rawlings was filled with warm light, lush greenery, and an intimate greenhouse atmosphere, making this location perfect for a couple seeking a timeless, nature-inspired session. It also made it perfect as D + L wanted to incorporate their love for riding bicycles. Since the greenhouse is set in Druid Hill Park, it makes it the best location for both.

Why choose Rawlings Conservatory for engagement photos?

  • The variety of greenhouse rooms (Palm house, Orchid Room, etc.)

  • It's accessible and beautiful all year-round.

  • In the fall, you get the bonus of the surroundings also showing off their beautiful fall colors.

  • A romantic, dare I say European garden vibe in the heart of Baltimore City.

Planning an engagement session at Rawlings Conservatory? Here are some things you should know.

Location: 3100 Swann Dr, Baltimore, MD (within Druid Hill Park)

Photography permit: Yes, this is required to photograph inside, check out the info HERE

Best Season? I LOVE the fall the most, but literally any time is a good time.

Outfit tips: neutral tones, flowy fabrics, and earth tones would complement the greenhouse best.

Engagement vs Wedding Portraits: Yes to both. The only thing I would consider with weddings is if it falls on a weekend. Those are peak days for guests to visit Rawlings.
