This is what happens when you bring your photographer along on your Hawaiian elopement?

I'm not even sure where to start with this amazing adventure that I had the opprotunity to go on. Cathy and Kevin (couple) knew each other from attending different events in Baltimore City. About a year ago they mentioned that they were floating the idea of eloping in Hawaii, they wanted to do something themselve and also had close friends that lived there that they wanted to be apart of their love story. I immediattly made a joke about tagging along with them to photograph it. We all laughed and they said they had it covered with a local friend there.

Fast forward to 3 month before take off, I ran into Kevin at a local creatives event. I asked how planning for Hawaii was going and he expressed it was streasful but very exciting. I made another joke about tagging along with them and he brought up that the first that was orginally going to photograph them ended up no longer being avalible. And that's where it all began. I asked him about the dates and I checked my calendar and was free for the entire week in question. We started getting excited.

Everything ended up coming full circle after a long day of conversations with the couple and we laded on a whole itinerary for the time that I could spend with them! And I am so excited to take you along with me via the photos.

Here is a breakdown of what we were planning on doing.

Island: O'ahu, Hawaii

Nighttime portraits: Chinatown

Sunrise photos: Halona Beach Cove

Elopement Day: Kualoa Regional Park

Bonus portrait locations: Hoʻomaluhia Botanical Garden & a local 7/11

That seems like a lot because it was lol but every second of it was so worth it and I'm excited to share all the images from this amazing experience.
