Have you ever been to a desert? This was my first experience in this type of landscape and let me tell you, I LOVED it. There were so many layers to the desert I didn't expect, from the grassy bushes, tall cactus, and the mountains in the back, it was wonderful. Lovell Canyon, Nevada is only a 30-40min drive from the Las Vegas Strip and it was well worth getting the rental car to make our way there.
